The Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO) presents the Yentsch-Schindler Early Career Award each year to an early career scientist who has made outstanding and balanced contributions to research, education, and society. The 2026 Yentsch-Schindler Award is being presented to Dr. Alanna Lecher for her pioneering research that applies a holistic view of groundwater processes across aquatic ecosystems and coastal archaeological landscapes, as well as her dedication to teaching, translational work with stakeholders resulting in impactful applied outcomes, effective leadership, and sustained mentorship of undergraduate students
