Description
Graduating well-rounded scholars is core to higher education’s mission. As part of the core liberal arts curriculum at Lynn University, qualifying students are invited to participate in the Accelerated Degree Scholars Program. A core component of the program is co-curricular programming that introduces students to resilience training and academic enhancement and scholarship opportunities. The co-curricular offerings incorporated in the program are universally available to all majors and courses of study, but only to students who qualify for the accelerated scholars program. In 2023, the Accelerated Degree Scholars Program was revised to emphasize academic scholarship and information literacy, in addition to resilience & coping abilities. This study examines the impact the co-curricular program changes had on student preferences. The study evaluates how the shift in program focus affected student involvement and program outcomes.
