Abstract
To understand greatness in the presidency and leadership, it also behooves us to consider the worst presidents and worst decisions in the history of the country. This lecture, based on interviews with the nation’s leading historians analyzes the worst presidential decisions, looking for the keys to what NOT to do in terms of decision-making and leadership. These decisions not only had far-reaching impacts on the country but provide us with a helpful lens for understanding the president's character, decision-making processes, and values. We will dissect these decisions as well as some important historical lessons.
