Abstract

A major challenge for Adlerian Therapy is to achieve evidence-based status. Adlerian Pattern Focused Therapy has emerged to address that concern. It embodies many Adlerian concepts and techniques while incorporating an evidence-based therapeutic focus. The presentation will describe and illustrate Adlerian Pattern Focused Therapy and how it is practiced.

Participants will be able to:

Explain the need for Adlerian Therapy to become more evidence-based
Describe how Adlerian Pattern Focused Therapy embodies basic Adlerian concepts and techniques while incorporating an evidence-based focus.
Demonstrate this approach in a 10-session successful treatment
