Research output: Non-textual formLecture

Abstract

Founding Father Alexander Hamilton fought at General George Washington’s side in the American Revolution, aided in the passage of the Constitution, and helped save the United States from financial ruin. A great leader, writer, soldier, and lawyer, Hamilton did not let his poor birthright stop him from achieving greatness.

Historian Robert P. Watson, a distinguished professor of American history at Lynn University, surveys the intriguing story of the great Founder's life, including his difficult and little-known upbringing and war service. He also includes highlights of his meteoric rise to power, his many contributions to the nation, and his legacy. Do you think you already know everything there is to know about Hamilton? Along the way, Watson fact-checks the hit Broadway musical biography.
