Abstract
Effective lesson planning plays a crucial role in student engagement by creating a structured, purposeful, and stimulating learning environment. It is common in business courses for professors to be highly knowledgeable, adroit and experienced in their content; however, they may lack the pedagogical skill to effectively communicate this knowledge in a manner that is meaningful for the student. This paper is positioned as application of a theory into practice in teaching college-going students, discussing a unique model centered around eating and customizing a hamburger, likening it to aspects of a successful daily lesson plan and components of an instructional unit.
