Abstract

This chapter provides an overview of the current literature on artificial intelligence in e-banking. We examine the emergence of e-commerce and e-banking and discuss the advantages and disadvantages of e-banking. Further, we explore the quality assessments, adoption characteristics, and the security and privacy issues that financial institutions face, and we provide a review of the current literature on the topic. We conclude with our expectations for the future of e-banking and e-commerce and recommend areas for future research.
