Motivational Interviewing in Individual Psychology Practice

Research output: Other contribution

Abstract

Motivational Interviewing (MI) is an encouraging counselling approach that helps to elicit and strengthen motivation for change in counselling, coaching, and education settings. This counselling approach is highly compatible and consistent with the philosophies that are articulated by Adlerians. Over 200 controlled clinical trials have demonstrated the effectiveness of Motivational Interviewing among clients with various presenting issues. This workshop will include some MI demonstrations and counselling practice opportunities.
