Abstract
The global fashion industry is currently navigating a volatile “triple threat”: geopolitical instability in the Middle East driving up shipping and energy costs, intensified U.S. regulatory scrutiny over forced labor, and an urgent mandate for standardized factory decarbonization.
These converging forces are forcing brands to abandon traditional models in favor of supply chain diversification, nearshoring, and heavy investment in traceability technologies to remain resilient, ethical, and compliant in an increasingly complex global economy.
