Abstract
Red carpet dressing can help young brands to grow awareness and buzz.
Post pandemic, big luxury brands have funneled more money into the red carpet — creating splashy custom dresses, digging into the archives and inking exclusive (and expensive) celebrity contracts — that make it harder for emerging brands to stand out.
Many emerging designers are either pulling back, or prioritizing strategic relationships, lesser carpets and other events.
