Abstract
Recent months have seen a flurry of activity as major players in tech and eyewear, from Meta and Google to EssilorLuxottica and Warby Parker, have announced new deals centred on smart glasses.
The frenzy has followed on the surprise success of the second-generation Ray-Ban Meta glasses, which created confidence that consumers will actually buy smart glasses if they’re done right.
Smart glasses are still a niche product, but as more companies enter the market and add new AI capabilities, the category could grow quickly in the years ahead.
