Abstract
Dr. Roberta Rust, professor in the Conservatory of Music, performed a solo recital and a chamber music concert with Cuarteto Aldebarán string quartet at the Luis Felipe Arias International Piano Festival and Competition, which was held July 11-18, in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
Dr. Rust served on the competition's jury and gave master classes at the National Conservatory of Music. Two of Rust's former Lynn University piano students, Jr. Medina '23 and Alfonso Hernández '17, co-founded the event. Medina also served as the festival's artistic director.
The President of Guatemala, Bernardo Arévalo, attended the closing concert at the Salon de Conciertos of the Conservatorio Nacional de Música "Germán Alcántara."
