Abstract
Emotionally charged subjects can bring unique issues to the classroom. This 12th Annual Roundtable provides a forum in which to exchange ideas and best practices for teaching about capital punishment in criminal justice programs. This year the focus is on examining student opinions about the death penalty, whether it be through class surveys, assignments, in-class debates, or anything else faculty have found useful. We will also address how working with student opinions may change how faculty approach a course over the semester.
