Abstract

The importance of understanding clients through the lens of case conceptualization is a professional mandate and one which still alludes new counseling professionals. It can be a challenge for counselors-in-training to clearly articulate their conceptualization of clients. Fortunately, there is now an evidence-based case conceptualization model and ongoing research evidence which offers counselor educators and counselors a model to meet this challenge. This presentation will offer an evidence-based model of case conceptualization that can be applied in practicum and internship experiences.
